What's New Now

Did you know that I got
Married back in 2001.
- Check it Out

Having had so many interesting jobs in so many different places and I have met a lot of exciting people.  With the modern age of electronics (mostly computers) I have begun keeping lists of e-mail addresses for people I know.  Sorry - I don't do US Postal snail mail addresses, just the hi-tech stuff.

In the past I have moved around so much doing events across the country, reaching me has been a real guessing game.  I have had so many numbers, and ways of reaching me - it confuses all of my friends.  Try one of the links below to find out what the current means of reaching me are.  I'll try and keep it updated as I move around.  Granted that you would have had to have found this web page in the first place, so you are not too far a stray....!

Most of what I have done, professionally speaking - has been staging and producing large scale events.  It all began at the young age of 19 when I started out at  Disneyland  in the Entertainment Division.  I was selected to be a float driver for the "Main Street Electrical Parade" that performed nightly during the summers in California.  I was the co-driver of  "Pete's Dragon"  my first summer - it was a big honor.  From there I was assigned to numerous staging crews working on special events and shows at Disneyland.  I then went on to even bigger events staged outside of the Theme Park.  Events like  Super Bowl Halftime ShowsThe Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, The Hollywood Christmas ParadeHollywood Bowl Symphonic Spectacular and the Disneyland Marathon.  20 years later with Disney.... and I'd say I Know a few things about Events and Production.....   It would take me a lifetime to describe it all.

One event year led to another and then another..  before I knew it, I was 1996 and I was in Georgia helping to produce the Centennial Olympics Games in Atlanta.  I started out developing the signage program for the Olympic Committee and all of the stadiums.  As the Games got closer, I was reassigned to the Logistics Department to oversee the Olympic Stadium Cluster Facilities as the Regional Program Manager.

Now I am back in California living just south of San Francisco.  I was working at the San Francisco Moscone Convention Center  as the  Audio-Visual Operations Manager   keeping all the national trade shows and conventions pumped up with Hi-Tech A/V gear.  Now I am with a production consulting firm out of  Sausalito just on the North side of the Golden Gate Bridge called  OPTS Events.  Their specialty is producing elaborately staged custom themed events for companies like Microsoft, SAP, Apple, Pixar Animation, The Wall Street Journal, and other high roller corporations.  I think its going to be fun.  I get to travel again and be creative and technical all at the same time.  I'll keep you posted!!

Well its 1999 and what a year!  I was back in Boston for OPTS Events producing MIT's Lab for Computer Science 35th Anniversary Celebration.   This was a very cool project with a custom stage design, webcast, and computer tech demos - the whole works!  Plus I got to work with all the great computer geeks like Bill Gates of Microsoft and Bob Metcalf, founder of 3Com.  But this was my last event with Opts and I am on to new adventures.  I also found these web pages on the Net where I get credit for events I produced for OPTS: ELS Lighting for SAP SAPPHIRE and MoreZap Productions

I ended up working on The 1999 Women's World Cup, first starting with the Final Draw on Valentines Day.  Then I was the Logistics Manager for the San Jose/San Francisco Venues.  Yes two venues!  We had to move for the 4th of July game - USA vs. Brazil.  Just like in 94 it was a day full of emotions! Next stop was the Finals Match at the Rose Bowl - GO Team USA!!!   Then I helped out Major League Soccer down in San Diego with their All-Star Week to wrapped up my soccer summer.

Now I have taken a job with EDnet in San Francisco as their Director of Webcasting, a division that was just started up in January of 1999.   My job is to help them shape and build that division into something big.  Do you think I can do it?  I can!  We are producing live webcast events across that nation as well as building a national networks of webcasting technicians all under the EDnet banner.

Being a professionally trained photographer, you would think I would have a huge collection of photographs from all of the exciting events I've been a part of.  The fact of the matter is, I don't.  I always have so much responsibility, I never have time to really document what's going on.  I do have a few select photos that I would like to share with you though.  My memories are the best thing - they are just hard to share via cyberspace.

Click Here to jump to my Photo Gallery where I am storing pictures as I get them scanned in an up on my website.
